Meet Dr. Mukwele, DNP, FNP-C, MBA

Dr. Utonne Mukwele is a Doctor of Nursing Practice who currently serves as an Independent Medical Consultant and CEO at Samto Medical Services, where she specializes in medical care for veterans and active military personnel. She also serves as an adjunct instructor at Wilmington University in the College of Health Professions, her alma mater.

Dr. Mukwele has over 20 years of professional experience in the field of nursing, holding past positions as a Nurse Practitioner, Per Diem Registered Nurse, and Director of Nursing at various medical offices and practices. She is a graduate of Caribbean Medical University and holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, a Post-Master's Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Business Administration in Health Administration. Additionally, Dr. Mukwele is a member of the Delaware Board of Nursing, the American Association of Nursing, the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, and the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society for Business.

Throughout her career, she has acquired various licenses and certifications. Among these is an FNP-C License with prescriptive authority in DE, PA, VA, and MD. She is also CPR/BLS certified, a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Veterans Affairs, a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation (DOT), and a Certified Medical Examiner for Delaware Workers' Compensation.
